Viking Battling Something

Sometimes it's fun to just sit down and draw and see what it turns into.  That's how you get a viking warrior battling an................?

Eye of Cthuluhu Poster

You feel an evil presence watching you...

Finished this poster a while ago but hadn't posted it yet.  I think My boys and I have sunk more time together into this game than any other game we've played.

TMI Trivia Animation

This is a short animation of Maebe in a launch video for TMI Trivia. The game Launched in Austrailia, Canada, and the UK.  This and designing the character Maebe were my favorite parts of this project. This video came to pass because we were ahead of the engineers, and we had some spare time and I was really missing flash animation.  My good friend Gibbs helped with all the after effects work, making this a fantastic little video.

Frozen Poster

A new frozen poster to go in my etsy shop.  I wanted to give it a legendary illuminated manuscript look.
I thought about writing "Keep calm and let it go" ;), but then I realized I would never write something like that.  The quote is from the song let it go though.

If you would like a copy of the poster you can get it on my etsy shop here: www.etsy.com/listing/180867406/frozen-poster-12x18

repaint the kitchen

Rose went out and bought a frame so I could put up the flower shop print I made for her.  We had white walls in the kitchen and she bought a white frame.  She wanted me to paint it red.  Me being the crazy overly ambitious artist thought it would be cool to paint the whole kitchen rather than the frame.  We've been wanting to paint it since we moved in back in July.  So I painted three colors of green stripes, and a reddish orange accent wall.  Our kitchen looks awesome now.

Jackalope fight

Sherlock for sketch dailies

Not as happy with this as some of my other sketch dailies.  Had a lot to do yesterday and didn't have much time.  I think some of the lighting is pretty good, but I should have spent more time on the the characters face.  But despite my time constraints I want to get something out everyday for this. It's a great way to explore different ideas and see what other artists are doing.

A redesigned Ursula for sketch dailies

Not as good as the original Ursula, guess I just felt like drawing someone young skinny and evil.

Minecraft Sword in the Stone

Finished a new Minecraft poster today.  Minecraft has stones, anvils, and powerful swords...it seemed fitting to make a sword in the stone poster.  Just added it to my etsy shop too.  https://www.etsy.com/listing/178738357/minecraft-sword-in-the-stone-poster

Robin Hood

Joan of Arc

I like how this sketch turned out.  Joan of Arch is a very interesting character to me and I was trying to capture what a moment in her story might have been like.  Or at least the way I interpret it.  I find it helpful for me to imagine myself in the shoes of the characters I'm making weather it's a funny or serious version of the character.  A silly version of Joan would have a totally different look and feel.

I put a stained glass representation of God behind her to show that he is watching over her and giving her direction though she does not see him directly.  The light from the windows also gives a feeling of God pouring down his will as Joan is searching for it.
